I've been writing for whatever format available...stories, anecdotes, poetry, published and non "since I was knee high to a tadpole, leaning against the wind" - credit to WC Fields. I represented my high school in Affton, Missouri, to the St. Louis Globe-Democrat’s Spotlight On Youth section. My first article traced the ruins of Oakland Manor, on the grounds of Oakland Park Cemetery. I was inspired to know the property’s history and discovered that the owner, Henry Benoist, was close friends with Henry Shaw, a philanthropic pillar of St. Louis whose land donations became the Missouri Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park. My article caused a stir among residents and leaders in St. Louis, prompting the St. Louis Historical Society to purchase the property from the Benoist family for it to become a historical landmark. Following that, I wrote for whatever medium was available – entertainment reviews in major papers, promos for public TV and commercial spots for a radio station in Columbia, Illinois, for which I also sold air time. In 1980, I relocated to Dallas and started a career writing and producing features for faith based television. I’ve had the privilege of working with many major and minor on-air ministries such as Zola Levitt, Kenneth Copeland and Mike Murdock. I currently freelance for Access Media in Dallas. I'm a passionate proponent of animal rescues and adoptions, having adopted several canines, and a few felines...all rescues! My experience has been with senior pets because they have all lived to be seniors! My first cat, Pippins, lived to be 21 and currently, my little Chihauhau, Toby, is 16. Back to production...whatever you need, I can and will get it done!
