Marshall Sound Design is owned and operated by sound designer/re-recording mixer Johnny Marshall and specializes in post production audio for indie films. Johnny received a SUNDANCE 2013 SPECIAL JURY AWARD for SOUND DESIGN which, to date, has been the only award ever given for sound in the history of the Sundance Film Festival. He was nominated for the 2014 ALFS Technical Achievement of the Year Award by the London Film Critics’ Circle honoring his sound design with director Shane Carruth on UPSTREAM COLOR. Recently Johnny completed the sound design and 5.1 mix of dir. David Lowery's THE OLD MAN & THE GUN starring Robert Redford, Sissy Spacek, and Casey Affleck and is currently working as the supervising sound editor and sound designer for Lowery's upcoming A24 medieval epic GREEN NIGHT starring Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire, Lion) and Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, Tomb Raider).
